The fastest way to create a new Design is to start with an old Design. In this video, we will learn how to configure Inventor’s project files, templates and libraries to better organize our data. We will discuss strategies for file and part naming, version control and metadata. We will learn how to use Inventor’s Pack and Go to maintain an Audit trail and the Design Assistant to copy your designs when you don’t have access to Autodesk Vault. Make better use of your Investment in inventor and reduce the amount of time it takes to create new designs by learning how to reuse your Autodesk Inventor data.

Are you using AutoCAD Electrical and are curious what else it can do? Do you have questions about tools within AutoCAD Electrical, or are you looking to meet with other professionals utilizing ACADE's awesome tools?

Please join us for AutoCAD Electrical User Community Virtual Meetup every 3rd Thursday of each month. We will feature new Tips & Tricks at each meeting and we will have open Q & A with AutoCAD Electrical experts to address any questions/suggestions you have.

* Project Management Tips and Tricks
* Drawing Creation Tips and Tricks
* Customization Tips and Tricks
* Template Tips and Tricks
* AND MANY MORE Tips and Tricks
* Open Q & A

Register for these Virtual Meetups to become more productive, increase your AutoCAD Electrical skills and have a place to get your questions answered. And please let your peers know to start a productivity shift in your group.

If you are transitioning from AutoCAD to Inventor, if you are an Autodesk Product Design and Manufacturing Collection (PDMC) Customer, or if you are collaborating in a mixed 2D to 3D workflow, you’ll want to know how to reuse 2D AutoCAD geometry to create 3D models in Autodesk Inventor, and how to export 2D data from your 3D Inventor models for use inside AutoCAD. In this video we’ll show you how to get the best of both AutoCAD and Inventor, from simple copy and pasting of geometry to linking 2D files to 3D CAD models with AnyCAD from AutoCAD to Inventor. Do you need to work in both 2D and 3D simultaneously? We finish this webinar with an introduction to Inventor Factory Design Utilities. FDU allows us to publish assets which contain both 2D and 3D Information, allowing us to flip back and forth between AutoCAD and Inventor using the best package for our workflow. Reuse your legacy 2D AutoCAD data, provide 2D drawings from your 3D CAD models and get the most out of your investment in the Autodesk Product Design and Manufacturing collection.

Join us to learn about the updated and new APIs added to the Design Automation for AutoCAD, Design Automation for Inventor, Design Automation for Revit and Design Automation for 3DS Max

Very often we deal with small variations of designs: slightly different size, or shape, material. As a result, a lot of work invested in routine of creating alike models, instead of true engineering or innovation. Most designers have parts and assemblies that differ by size, material, or other variables, although the same design works in many models. You can create these designs as iParts and iAssemblies, and then use one or more of the variations. But when working with iParts and iAssemblies with Automation, there are certain concepts to keep in mind to maximize the performance and efficiency of our designs. This webinar will discuss and demonstrate the pros and cons of iParts and iAssemblies, and how to effectively leverage them when developing an Automation project.

Register to the part 2 out of 5 to learn:
* Understand the Benefits and Pitfalls of iParts and iAssemblies
* How to make iParts and iAssemblies work for you with Automation

Access the recording of Part 1 about parametrical models [here]. And register to the next episodes.

After taking in this 5-part program, you will be able to:
* Understand what are the different strategies to creating configurations and customizations
* Architect appropriate solutions using the software portfolio you already have access to
* Understand what training materials are available
* List the next steps to scaling the best practices in your organization

If you are currently using AutoCAD to develop controls drawings or if you have AutoCAD Electrical but you are still primarily using it as regular AutoCAD to complete your controls drawings, this is the webinar for you.

Learn about all of the amazing timesavers AutoCAD Electrical can provide you. Hot Topics will include Schematic design tools, Panel Layout design tools, Project Auditing tools, and Automatic Reports, including Bill of Materials.

Register for this webinar to learn how to cut your Controls Design project creation time in half. It will be electrifying and have you feeling the spark of love for AutoCAD Electrical!

This is an on-going series with recurring session scheduled for the first Thursday of each month. Register now and let your colleagues know!
